Ethereum Devnet 10 Testing Paves Way Towards Mainnet
Recent devnet 10 testing on Ethereum revealed a stable network under normal conditions, although some bugs were identified. Stress-testing exhibited increased CPU and RAM usage on some clients. The conversation around forking timelines for testnets and transitioning to mainnet was initiated, with more discussions to follow in the upcoming ACDC meeting on November 9.
Blockchain-Powered Satellite Contributes to Ethereum Scaling
Cryptosat, a blockchain-powered satellite orbiting Earth, has contributed entropy to the Ethereum KZG ceremony from space. The satellite's Verifiable Random Beacon service generated the entropy, which was signed by the satellite itself and can be verified using the public key of Crypto2. This contribution will strengthen the security of the next version of Ethereum, which is scheduled for an upgrade on April 12.
